If you attempt to perform Brain Wave Vibration in this state, you could pull a muscle or cause some other injury in the body. Besides that, you will have a hard time feeling the vibrations in your body if circulation is blocked by tension. Before starting Brain Wave Vibration practice, relax your body by slowly turning your head left and right and rotating the shoulders forward and back. You can also do a few stretching exercises before you begin. As you start Brain Wave Vibration, make small, gentle movements and build up to more dramatic ones.</p>
<p>If you cannot breathe well because of asthma or cardiovascular problems</p>
<p>As you exhale, make a long &#8220;ahhh&#8221; sound while patting the chest to open up the airway. Focus on exhaling all air out of the lungs. You will feel a subtle vibration that spreads out from the chest to the whole body. Chest Twist Vibration (page 144) will be especially helpful to you.</p>

You can easily practice from a lying position, and you can do it with the help of a caregiver. Lie down comfortably, relax your body, and close your eyes. The caregiver should hold both of your feet and lift up your legs slightly. The caregiver can then begin to shake the feet and bounce the legs gently up and down. You will feel the vibration starting from the feet and spreading to the whole body. Lying in bed for a long time can stagnate the energy circulation of the body, so practicing a mild vibration of this sort can make the body feel refreshed and lighter.</p>
<p>If you have arthritis or other joint problems&#8230;</p>
<p>Pain in your joints may become distracting or discourage you from practice. To combat this, start with very slight movements in the joints to bring increased circulation to these parts. Also, if you do feel pain, concentrate on exhaling the pain along with the breath. Visualize healing energy from the brain stem traveling through the body to the joints. As the pain decreases, increase your vibration to envelop the entire body.</p>

It may take a few repetitions, a proper environment, and some extra time to fully experience all three phases.</p>
<p>Deliberately make vibrations in your body</p>
<p>When you begin, you will make the vibrations consciously. You may do so by following the beat of a song, or you may just fol¬low a rhythm that seems appropriate to vou. At this stage you should locus on relaxing the body as you move to the rhythm. Try to quiet the thinking mind by focusing only on the beat and the movement of your body. Avoid self conscious concern about how you look to others; just focus on yourself. To begin, gently shake the head left and right. As the neck starts feeling relaxed, shake the shoulders up and down. Let the sensation spread through your body as you shake your entire body while lightly bouncing up and down. As you shake, imagine that you are shaking off all your complicated thoughts and emotions. Try to release all tension from the body through your exhalation.</p>

He was very distracted, however, because he found that his health began to deteriorate. He could not sleep or sit still for long because of serious kidney problems. He began to practice Brain Wave Vibration and had immediate improvements in his health, and was finally able to focus properly for meditation. <p>It is very important to pay attention to the experience of energy in your body as you practice Brain Wave Vibration. <p>I would like to suggest that if you have had difficulty making your reality follow the wishes of your mind, it is because you have not taken the time to change the tool with which you can change your reality. In other words, you have not taken steps to train your brain.</p>

The brain stem wants to create balance between the sympathetic nervous system, which produces the stress response, and the parasympathetic nervous system, which is in charge of the rest-and-digest response. When our bodies are kept in a constant state of imbalance, disease is the likely result.</p>
<p>The part we have control over is the prefrontal cortex, the thinking part of the brain. To put it simply, people today think too much. The thinking brain is constantly sending messages that keep our bodies in a state of alarm, and they never have ample time to recover. The trick is to quiet the thinking mind and gain control over the content it produces so that the brain stem has a chance to coordinate the equilibrium that it exists to create.</p>
<p>As you begin to practice Brain Wave Vibration, notice the kinds of stories you have been telling yourself. Think of the manifestations of stress in your life and try to discover their root. Maybe they show themselves physically through headaches, muscle tension, or even disease, or mentally through bad habits like nail-biting, mood swings, or overeating. Ask yourself what kind of mental story is connected to these manifestations&#8211; &#8211; stories about your own insecurities, the shortcomings of other people, and the inadequacies of the world around you. <p>LLTIMATELY, YOU CAN DO the training in any number of different postures, and you can create your own postures as you learn to follow the flow of energy and the needs of your body. You can do the training with or without music, but you may find that music with a strong basic rhythm will help you get into the natural rhythms of your own body more quickly. The most important point is to just enjoy yourself and to let your thinking mind drift away.</p>
<p>These postures are the most basic forms of Brain Wave Vibration, and I recommend that you follow* them in the beginning. After that, you can start improvising according to the dictates of your bodily needs.
