Let’s take love, for example. We all want to be loved. We fall into despairing loneliness if we cannot satisfy the need for love that originates from the cerebral limbic system. Up till now, the cerebral limbic system thought that love came from outside sources, from other people around us. However, love can also come from inside. The brain stem has the ability to create and manufacture limitless love, certainly enough to satisfy our greedy cerebral limbic system one hundred percent.

Love expresses itself in many ways. People laugh and cry because of love or lack thereof. Because we love, we hate, become jealous, and shed tears. Because the cerebral limbic system has so far been trying to satisfy its need for love through external factors, it may have sought love from someone with blond hair and tall. It may have wanted love only from those with a first-rate education and the right mixes of humor and self-confidence. It wanted love only from the wealthy. It has been impossible to meet these conditions for love because the cerebral limbic system looked for love only from the outside. It wanted relative love, the “little” love that the outside provides.
