In words of Mr Ilchi Lee corresponds to the Cerebral Cortex or the Neo-Cortex, which enables us to create and introspect. Of these, the frontal lobe is the latest creation, giving us the ability to think and speculate. The ability of the Neo-Cortex to have insight, thinks, and rationalizes helps to activate the 5″ and 6″H Chakras. Therefore, a frontal lobotomy will often result in lack of imagination and interest in life. The Neo-Cortex is the mastermind behind all the glory of the human culture and civilization that we have created.

Lights, Sound, and Vibration

Chakras are awakened and activated through energy. Energy exists in three forms: light, sound, and vibration. These three forms are basic to the creation of the universe. This is expressed by the word Yullyo. All of life exists within Yullyo. Healing Chakra seeks to create balanced energy flow to stimulate and awaken the sense of Yullyo within all of us.

Yullyo resides in Heaven’s Palace, corresponding to the 6th Chakra, which is in turn directly connected to the brain stem. The brain stem is the gate through which Yullyo manifests. It is literally the seat of inner divinity.

The brain stem consists of various sub-cortical structures. It maintains basic survival functions, including respiration, digestion, circulation, and reproduction. It corresponds to humans’ deepest subconscious, often becoming the major driving force behind life. Most people spend their time satisfying the needs of the 1ST and 2ND Chakras, which includes satisfying the need for food, shelter, and sexual release.

Mammalian Brain

Corresponds to the limbic system of the brain – or the evolutionary second layer. Controls emotions such as joy, sadness, excitement, surprise, amazement, and love, among others. A problem with the limbic layer will create abnormal emotional responses. The limbic system also controls anger, fear, guilt, worry, pain, joy… and a range of other human emotional responses.

It is only because they have been momentarily blinded by their current situation. Give up your need to judge or cast blame on others, regardless of how rotten their behavior may seem. The most effective action you can take is to act on your own true nature, and soon others will do the same when they are ready. Go beyond the world of thought, put your true nature into action, and the rest of the world will follow.

You need only one thing in the world. It is not money. It is not fame. It is not even food. All you need in the world is hope. As long as you have that, you have everything. This is your birthright that you should never lose. If you keep hope, all your other necessities will come soon enough.

You Are the Earth

I suggest that we all seek reconnection to the Earth as a source of hope in the world. First of all, the Earth is our one common value, and it can be the means of reuniting humanity. No matter how different you look or how strange your culture may seem to me, we both rely completely on this Earth.

As seen from space, the Earth has no real borders, except where the planet ends and space begins. We must rally around the Earth soon, or we risk losing her along with our own survival. We need to realize that she, the Earth, is our one common bond and the source of our only true identity. Read more articles by Mr Lee.

During the course of Dahn Yoga, a single day our consciousness ebbs and flows. Depending on our emotional state, our consciousness may become brighter or darker. One moment, we may be concerned about a financial transaction and the next, care about the condition of the environment or the AIDS epidemic in South Africa. According to Ilchi Lee views our behaviors and actions differ depending on our state of consciousness.

The state of our energy varies according to our state of consciousness. In his book Power vs. Force, Dr. David Hawkins organized the consciousness levels on a scale with a range of twenty to one thousand lux. He notes that a person is not confined to a single state of consciousness but has the potential to move along the whole scale. We all have a Buddha nature and at the same time are capable of the worst human offenses.

Try the following methods, picking the one that suits you best and then practicing it consistently. Each of these methods produces its own unique, subtle feelings and energies. Whatever method you choose, it is important to deeply immerse yourself in the experience so you can feel its essence. Return to the object on which you were concentrating, without making any judgments about stray thoughts that creep into your mina. Even if thoughts continue to arise in the back of your mind, keep bringing the object on which you are focusing to the front of your mine

Chanting, breathing, or imagery is generally used in order to focus during meditation, along with Ji-gam training. The Ji-gam and Dahn-mu introduced below should be absorbed into meditation by concentrating on the energy sensation. Ji-gam and Dahn-mu are types of dynamic meditation that let the body move with the flow of energy. They especially help beginners concentrate more easily on the meditation. Vision meditation is for re-creating our lives by infusing our minds with positive thoughts, feelings, and imagery.

This is a way to create by repeating a special sound, phrase, or affirmation in you-’ mind or out IOUG. I: is very effective especially for beginners, and relatively easy compared to other methods. Frequently, the Dahn Yoga phrase, “Chun-ji-kKvoon, Chun-ji-ma-eum (Cosmic Energy, Cosmic Mind),” is used for this purpose. Inwardly, repeat “Chun-ji-ki-woon” as you breathe in and “Chun-ji-ma-eum” as you breathe out. Repeating words that put your mind at ease and give you strength, such as “peace” and “love,” or affirmations such as “I am relaxed” or “My body is not me, but mine” are also very effective.

Do not become frustrated with thoughts says Ilchi Lee. The brain generates thoughts in the same way that the heart pumps blood. That is the function of the brain. You do not sit and worry about your heart doing what it is supposed to do. You wouldn’t get angry with it for doing its job. Apply the same easy acceptance to the function of your brain. Let it send you thoughts. Just do not get carried away by them or show your interest in them.

If you lose your focus on the energy between your hands, there are two things you can do. If you find yourself distracted by a single stray thought, simply bring your mind back to the feeling between your hands. Do not take any more note of it; simply refocus. If you suddenly realize that the distraction has gone on for a while before you catch yourself, simply begin again. Allow distractions to come and go, without monitoring yourself. Eventually, mind, breath, and energy become one.

Once you are connected to your breath and energy, it is easy to return to your body. Most of the time, we experience life through our body without really being aware of that body. There is usually a web of busy inner dialogue running through our minds. We are usually so mesmerized by our ideas about the world that we miss out on much of the body’s direct sensory experience.

An Introduction about Drop Stance by Ilchi Lee: Extending one leg stimulates the Gall Bladder Meridian, filling a person with confidence, and trains the hip joint; bending the other leg trains the thigh. Bu-toe-bo is a stance in which the distribution of strength in the legs must be maintained since they take very different shapes. It is effective for causing energy to sink in a stable way.

Set: Bu-toe-bo is adapted from Ki-ma-bo by bending one knee and sitting down on one leg while straightening the other leg. Make sure that the knee of the supporting leg does not come out of alignment with the toes of the foot below it. Your feet should be parallel, with the toes pointing the same direction. When the left leg is extended, the stance is called Jwa-bu-toe-bo; when the right leg is extended, it is called U-bu-toe-bo.

We are in the last stages of the materialistic civilization whose ultimate goal has been the pursuit of external values. The driving forces behind our civilization have been competition and domination. In the ceaseless pursuit of better, faster, and more, we have destroyed our natural resources and found our hearts to be lonely and empty. Poverty of the heart exists in midst of material wealth. Just as the moon wanes after it is full, it is time for materialistic civilization to wane in order to make way for a new cycle of human civilization, a new cycle of life. We really have only one option before us, … a spiritual civilization.

A spiritual civilization is not a repudiation of material abundance. It is a more mature civilization that creates harmony of the whole by restoring a healthy balance between the spiritual and the material. A spiritual civilization will share the collective goal of pursuing the material as a means to spiritual development, not of pursuing the material for its own sake. A spiritual civilization will utilize material abundance for growth of the soul, and place the earth, rather than specific religions, people, or nations, at the center of its value system. It will not pursue external success, but completion in a holistic sense. And it will be a civilization that does not force people to pursue the self-limiting values of money, fame, and power by forcibly taking them from others in competition. Rather it will assist us in the pursuit spiritual completeness and perfection of our souls through harmony and reconciliation. Such will be a spiritual civilization.
