At the time of this writing, in New Mexico acupuncturists have significant latitude in their practice of acupuncture. Upon licensee they are granted the title of Doctor of Oriental Medicine. By contrast, the states of Idaho and Wyoming have no acupuncture provisions; practicing acupuncture is neither legal nor illegal. In Arizona, one can self-administer acupuncture without a license.
