Ilchi Lee Educator Quotes About Earth Citizen

Revolution vs. Rotation

The Earth spins on its own axis while revolving around the Sun. It creates a balance between a momentum towards a shared greater goal or central standard of value while effecting a personal and individual growth. As in all these rules, the order of the descriptive terms is crucial. Rotation must not come first, nor at the expense of the revolution, for you cannot put your own self-interest in front of the collective good. Should such a case occur, then the revolution itself will stop, resulting in an abrupt halt in the rotation. In a word, self-destruction would occur.

When an object rotates around a central axis, the force that pulls the object toward the center and keeps it in a stable orbit and prevents it from flying off is called the centripetal force, this is an extract from Ilchi Lee book. The force always positioned at a 90-degree angle from the line of centripetal force, and that compels the object forward along the constantly changing direction of its momentum is called the centrifugal force (even though it is not technically a “force”). This is basic high school physics.

Imagine you are swinging above your head a sling whose pouch is filled with a rock. Your arm provides the centripetal force that keeps the rock from flying off into the air. The rock’s tendency to fly off at every turn is provided by the centrifugal force. What would happen if the centrifugal force only acted on the rock? It would fly off, of course, to no constructive effect.

Only a combination of the centripetal and centrifugal forces keeps the rock in a proper orbit, balanced and full of potential constructive energy. Therefore, the centrifugal force (individual) must not become stronger than the centripetal force (community) for it would destroy the balance, the end result being that the individual flies off into oblivion.
