Ilchi Lee on walking

I like to walk. When I walk I always focus on the acupressure point on the sole. It’s called Yong Chon. Literally translated, it means a spring from which courage comes out. I lean my whole body slightly, maybe one degree, forward and put the center of the weight on the Yong Chon point. It’s called Jang Saeng Walking. This healthy walking method was created by Ilchi Lee. As a Sedona resident, he likes horse back riding meditation. One day, he rode a horse and she moved very gently as usual. However, suddenly, she might be frightened by something and she began to gallop to her full speed. Ilchi Lee reflects the moment and says “I couldn’t get hold of the reins.” Anyway he put his body as lower and close to the horse as possible and try to concentrate on the frightening situation.

Abruptly again, she made a sudden stop. Ilchi Lee was bounced up to the sky and fall down to the ground. He says he heard big cracking sounds from his back. Not able to move his body, he was flat on the ground. As a martial artist and energy trainer, he used the safe way of falling-down, but the impact was not small at all. A few days later, the doctor told him not to move and stay still on the bed.

Ilchi Lee began to vibrate his body, lying down on the bed. He felt his energy channels and moved. Later he was able to overcome the injury and walk again. And, he created the Jang Saeng Walking.
